Supporters and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party have rallied behind frontline governorship aspirant Alfred Dapal Damiyal following the submission of his completed nomination forms for the 2027 Plateau governorship election.
Damiyal submitted the forms at the PDP national secretariat on Tuesday, officially declaring his intention to contest for the party’s governorship ticket.
Addressing supporters shortly after the submission, he reaffirmed his commitment to delivering responsible governance, sustainable development, peace, and unity across Plateau State.
He said Plateau requires leadership that understands the needs of the people and is prepared to tackle insecurity, unemployment, economic hardship, and rural neglect.
Damiyal also emphasized the importance of empowering young people and creating opportunities capable of improving livelihoods across the state.
Supporters at the event described him as an experienced and grassroots-oriented leader with the vision and competence needed to move Plateau State forward.
The submission of the nomination forms marks another major development in the build-up to the 2027 governorship elections in Plateau State.
